Since 2020 Utah Governor Gary Herbert, followed by Governor Spencer Cox has formally dedicated an entire month to celebrate Utah’s resilience through an official Governor Declaration, presented by ResilientYOU. This year, Resilient Utah Month will be observed in April 2026. In conjunction with the declaration, the Governor has filmed special messages directed to Utah parents of students, as well as the public.
The Utah Education Tribute Award is a prestigious honor presented annually to select schools, individuals and organizations that have shown exemplary efforts in building resilience. The 2026 Utah Education Tribute Awards will be presented in the following categories:
The campaign includes distributing the Governor’s Resilient Utah Month Promo Spot and ResilientYOU commercial spots on social media and select television stations. Also included are additional media, radio and podcast appearances.
ResilientYOU sends an annual digital message to parents of elementary students throughout the state. This special correspondence is sent to parents through various education networks, including Utah PTA, Utah Superintendents and Elementary Principals Associations, Utah Charter School Networks, Utah Mental Health Networks and other organizations. The message contains special links to the Governor’s Declaration, Governor’s message, and the Child Connection Toolkit, in addition to articles, music and resources for parents.
ResilientYOU empowers parents and teachers with a free educational tool for classrooms and families called The Child Connection Toolkit, featuring the musical children’s show “Something Good Inc.”. Showcasing award winning songs, this unique resource provides an entertaining strategy to help connect parents and teachers with children/students and foster meaningful discussion about making safe and healthy choices and navigating life’s challenges. The overall method has proven to be an effective model in developing protective life skills in children.
The Child Connection Toolkit also provides additional materials and access to The Parent Link, where parents can find hundreds of resources that can benefit their children.
