In addition to giving more than 2000 assemblies throughout the U.S. and Canada (many with Lisa), Steve is also known for his inspiring keynotes, workshops and trainings for educational, community, corporate and government groups.

Steve and Lisa are known for “breaking down the silos” to create community-mobilizing events that not only bring out the masses, but increase awareness and involvement in coalitions and revitalize programs. Barbara Smith

Barbara is the Director of the Utah Family Partnership; a non-profit that works with parents and schools for children’s success. She is the chair of the Davis Technology College’s Foundation Board and serves on the First Lady of Utah’s Uplift Families Board of Directors. Barbara served on the Davis School District School Board for 24 years; serving as president for 8 years. She was also on the Davis Technology College’s Board of Trustees for 22 years, serving as President for 11. Nationally she has been board member and president of the Advocates for School Trust Lands, and the National Federation of Urban/Suburban School Districts.

She has been a member of the Governor’ s Literacy Commission, the Utah Early Childhood Council Executive Committee, Utah PTA Board of Directors, Utah School Boards Board of Directors, Davis County the Council of Governments, and the Davis United Way Steering Committee.

Barbara has presented locally and nationally on such topics as Parent Engagement, Parenting Skills, Leadership, Community Engagement, Safety and Substance Abuse Issues, and Gifted Education. She has a BS in Communications and an MBA. She is married to Scott Smith. James Arrington

James is a business man, humanitarian, father of 6, professional communicator and creative director with a passion for lifting burdens where he is able. His wife Shelby and he have adopted 3 of their children from Haiti and China, and currently all 6 children are teenagers.

As a professional communications specialist and creative director James understands the power of messages and the influence they have on social psychology. When his children were in Elementary school he was first introduced to the music and messages created by Steve and Lisa James and found them to be a powerful way to teach valuable lessons to his kids during their formative years. Now he is dedicated to helping other families similarly benefit.

His agency called Pukrufus provides creative services for professional marketers and businesses.
